Here are a few things our clients have said about HousePaws In-Home Veterinary Care
When we realized we would have to make the difficult decision for our sweet Jax, we were shocked and devastated. We knew that we couldn't have him pass away in a cold vet hospital, it needed to be at home. It was a Saturday night, after regular hours and we were losing hope. Dr. McMahan was the answer to our prayers. When I spoke to her on the phone, I could tell her top priority was that Jax was not in pain and would not have to suffer. She came to our house and talked us through everything. She made sure we knew exactly what to expect and made sure we had the chance to say a proper goodbye. Jax was able to pass peacefully, in his own bed, at his own house, with our arms around him. We are so thankful that we found Dr. McMahan.

Dr. Laura McMahan has cared for my furry kids for a couple years. She is a wonderful vet who keeps my little old ladies in good health. Watching my babies get older is not easy and as the ailments come, in home health care is certainly a great option.

Best Vet Ever
Dr. Laura McMahan has cared for my beloved dogs for nearly 15 years and I totally trust her with their care knowing she has their best interest at heart. I have total faith in her. Even my dogs love her and get excited every time they see her. I gladly make an appointment for her to come to the house to care for my animals. I highly recommend her for veterinary services at your house. It is so less stressful for the pets and much more convenient for me having several pets including one very large on.

A True Blessing!
We are so thankful that we found Dr. McMahan for our beloved boxer. Joe had difficulty using his back legs due to Degenerative Myelopathy. Dr. McMahan used acupuncture and laser therapy to help with Joe’s mobility. We loved that she was able to come to our home to make it more comfortable for Joe and our whole family. Thank you so much for giving us extra time with our “Big Joe”. When it came time to make the difficult decision of putting him down, she was there for us through it all. She is a true blessing to our family!
Dr. McMahan is a wonderful vet for our aging senior dog and full of energy rescue dog. We love that she is able to come to our home to doctor our pets. She is great with our dogs and they LOVE her treats! Thanks, Dr. McMahan!!!

Great Care at home!!!
Dr. McMahan’s knowledge and practice of the most current advancements in veterinary medicine is laudable. Besides the warmth and comfort Andy receives from her treatment, I find her advice and consul on proper nutrition and medication to be on target.Dr. Don Marine
A Vet Techs Choice
I have worked with many vets in my life and found that they all have their own ideas about pain management. As a Veterinary Tech I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Laura while she helped out with surgeries at Livingston Animal Hospital a few yrs ago. Unlike most of our clients, a tech knows the little extras available to ensure our pets comfort but I did not have to ask for it. Dr. Laura came right out and offered to add these measures to my dogs surgery and recovery to make him as comfortable as possible and that has made a lasting impression on me. It is no wonder that I have recently driven the 1 1/2 hrs to her new location when my girl Abby was in need of a more serious surgery. Once again Dr. Laura MacMahan has proven to me that she is worth seeking out for my pets well being. She is a very special woman with a gift for this profession. Her expertise with these fur babies is a Godsend.
Peaceful and Dignified
Peaceful and Dignified is how I would describe Titus’s last days with us. After 13 years the thought of having his last minutes be in a sterile animal clinic where the next patient is waiting to be seen was unbearable. Dr. McMahan was an answer to a prayer, literally, and she guided us and taught us about quality of life and making decisions with Titus’s comfort and well being in mind. His transition was seamless and quiet and peaceful. He actually went to sleep with that pink stuffed animal in is mouth….and in his own home. : ) Dr McMahan handled every detail including his cremation and his paw print and then personally delivered him back to us. Forever grateful and we recommend Dr. McMahan’s services with the highest regard and confidence. Sleep tight sweet Titus!
When we first found out
When we first found out that our beloved Jack Russell terrier, Buddy, had a terminal illness, we were more than devastated….we were terrified for Buddy since he found the typical waiting-room vet visit to be extremely stressful. All that stress disappeared when we found Dr. McMahan. Her easy and caring manner with him immediately put him and us at ease. It was invaluable for us to have her come and visit him in the comfort and familiar atmosphere of his home. She was very diligent in monitoring his condition as time went on, made him very comfortable as his condition declined and, when the time came for him to leave us, she made the whole experience one that our entire family could share in as painlessly as possible. There aren’t enough good things that we can say about Dr. McMahan and would recommend her without reservation.
